Painting our home again

You have seen the front of my home many times so today I thought I would show you the back with hopes that you may have an idea for a color change.
We are putting up two new buildings and they are going to be cream and a dark green so the house will remain cream but if I go with green it will have to be a darker shade than I have right now. I could remove the green altogether...I could change the rust to a burgundy ....and ideas????

I'm a big fan of reds, so anything in that family would look great for the trim. And would look nice with your outbuildings. :)

Reds, for sure.

Nice blog.

Hi Dianntha....I can't help myself,I love green. My choice is something in the green family and then it would also work with your two new buildings. Hugs, Linda

Burgundy and green would look wonderful!! I love the victorians that have 2 or 3 paint colors....

I DO love red too...very much...

I like your current color scheme, but if you prefer the colors to match, take a section of the new building material to the paint store with you. We matched the vinyl siding to the paint on my studio before it was vinyl sided this year.

Also, paint department carry a lot of paint chips, samples, and historical colors. I think I'd start looking at those close to the period in which your home was built.

Wishing you the best of luck with whatever you do decide to do!

Hey Dianntha: It's hard to tell from a photo the exact shades of colors. I like the idea of Cathy...take samples to the paint store and see how they all blend together. Paint stores now have chips of complementary colors and will offer suggestions on trim colors. Good luck!
