A start on block 6 of CaHRH and two finishes

I have started block 6 on CaHRH and it seems to be going quite quickly and I really need to step it up if I am going to hang this one by Thanksgiving. It has bee so hot here that it feels like I am trapped in the house so after I get my normal stuff done I have been picking up the thread and needle.
The other two finishes I am going to make into bowl fillers. My dd stitched the first snowman and I did the other. I will have to tell you the names next time....
My middle daughter and I have been working on a make over in her bedroom. She saw a room on HGTV and thought she just had to change hers to purple....dark purple. So I have been painting her furniture and she has been trimming the ceiling and above the baseboards. Once we have it painted we are going to pull up the carpeting and go with the hard wood floors. Now this is really my daughters project and I am just helping but I am ready to finish it. My dd loves to work on it in a slow pace and I am project oriented...it could have been done. Anyone out there know what I mean about working with your teen??? LOL Anyways, We are buying new light fixtures and Lowes is having great clearance sales so tonight we are off to see if we can find the perfect lights for her room....wish us luck with that. Our theme is purple and silver....in a chic way...
I will keep you updated on our progress. Blessings.

Very nice finishes. It's not a bad idea to stitch snowmen while there's a heatwave outside. It might be refreshing to think of al the snow needed to build a snowman, lol.

I love stitching Christmas stuff in the summer time. It takes the edge off of the heat for me!

Please do post photos of the bedroom. I LOVE that kind of thing!
