Floor sanding begins today!

Now who wouldn't want floors like this one? Today is the day we are going to sand dd bedroom floor. I am going to go rent the drum sander today and dh will start the process. Once the sanding is complete I will stain it and then put a finish on it.  I am planning on trying to stain it about the color of the woodwork in that room. Today is suppose to be extremely  hot outside so I guess we will spend the afternoon working inside. I am ready to get this process going so we can put the upstairs back together..as you can tell...I can not stand the mess.
Once we get going I will snap a few pictures so you can see. I will try to post a picture of the floors we refinished at our rental, it turned out really super too.
Well, when time permits I will be around to visit. Be Blessed.

Hi! So nice to have you stop by my blog and visit. Hope to see you there more often. I love that you are from Ohio. I might have immigrated many years ago but will always be an Ohio girl at heart!

Love woodfloors! We have a herringbone cherry floor in this house and are moving to a house with a beech floor. That floor is very damaged but we are having someone come to renovate it for us. I really want to save it if possible. Sanding and finishing a hardwood floor is hard work in this heat.

By the way, glad I could surprise you with the Peppermint Twist music...lol.

Hugs from Holland ~

Good luck!! We have to install the kitchen cabinets first, then send the two 90lb. chocolate labs to married daughter's for a few days before we sand, stain and seal. Have you decided what you are going to seal it with? We are going to use tung oil. A longer curing process but have heard it is worth it.
