Day 10 Loving the Change!

As some of you know, I have been talking about  changing my decorating style. I have been decorating with wool wall hangings and I would call it a mix of country and primitive. I have decided that I am going to go for a more shabby chic/cottage style.  That being said. It is a hard transition since that means most of my stuff has to go!
When you look back at my kitchen mini make-over you can see the style is changing. So when we went to the French Hen Farm sale and I saw this tea set I fell in love with it. I knew that I had the perfect spot for it on my built in china cabinet. Isn't she the most beautiful thing. This is my birthday present from my sister. She had been looking for something to get me and when I said I loved it she said she was getting it for me.
I am over-joyed I really am..what a blessing this present was to me! As I start to make the decorating change this will be ever-present in my home. My Mom would have loved this piece!

I know a few gals that have changed over from the Primitive to a different look...nothing wrong with that.

I remember when I first started liking what they called COUNTRY....now I look back and ask myself WHY???? I transformed over into Colonial with some Prim thrown in...lots of treasures (well, I thought they were treasures when I bought them) had to go...Glad I made the change and you will too.

I call dibs on all primitive sale items! LOL!

It's funny... I went from Shabby Chic to Primitive. :) I think those to are very interchangable as different as they are. I still have some shabby chic stuff if you ever come up this way.

I love the cottage look, but I also love the prim look...so after much thought, I have mixed them together. And now, I'm loving how my prim cottage style is looking.
