A Tour of my Christmas Living room!

 This is our tree this year. I decided to go with bright and cheery colors and I had all the ornaments I needed except the pink so that was the only new investment! I adore the white tree and to be honest I can not even remember purchasing it. I was in the midst of grief at the time and I just can not even remember this purchase but I am happy that I have it.

 This cabinet I actually had intentions of putting in my shop but it looks so perfect in this spot that I guess I will keep this one! Nice size for my room. Again, most items you have seen before if you follow me. I just move them to different rooms.I am doing more blues this year.

 This little house did not sell at our Christmas open house so I decided to bring it inside. It looks perfect on my coffee table.

 This is the top of the cabinet and I adore this little tree. This is how it looks during the day..

 I wish I had take a few more shots of the mantle, it really is prettier than it looks but I will share a few more pictures of this room later. I forgot to get a whole room shot so I will be sharing that too.

 I went to the goodwill to get all the different sweaters and these are our stockings this year!

 On the other side of the room is our silver tree and she is so pretty at night too.

When I was at the good will I found this ceramic tree and I knew it was meant for me. I am so happy with it. 

 This is the table behind the sofa but the little white tree was so cute I wanted to share. Again, most of the items I have had I just placed them in a different spot for a new look of holiday cheer.

Even our wreaths got an update this year! I have more to share but I am out of pictures so I will end for now and enjoy some hot chocolate and a warm blanket. We have snow and ice and after church and a benefit auction we are now in for the day! 

Our New Stockings!

Now that the sale is over and I have had a minute to breath I decided to make new stocking this year. My dd and I went to the goodwill and bought sweaters in the colors of our tree this year. Each sweater makes two stockings which was perfect. Each boyfriend will have the same color sock as our dd's. I had hopes of making them striped and polka dots and other fun designs but I ran out of steam and decided I just wanted to get them done. They were so plain that I decided to add the fur.

While I was shopping yesterday I forgot to get the material so I decided I would cut up my pillow just so I could be done today.

It was just that simple. It was a good day to sew since the weather was rather wintry.

What a Wonderful Time of the Year.

We have closed our doors on the second day of our second sale. Our opening days were a big success and we saw so many happy faces. What a blessing to have our building filled with smiles and laughter!
  We carried packages and loaded cars. God is good.

We are spending the day going to church, resting and spending time with family. Christmas is so close and I am enjoying the season. A season of hope. A season of love.   Tomorrow I must begin my Christmas shopping and the stockings need to be hung.

But for today I am going to be thankful for all I have...family, friends, love.

What a wonderful time of year.We have not forgotten the reason for the season! We are basking in the glow.

Yesterdays Opening at Vyntage Barn

Yesterday we opened the doors at 9am and our first customer entered at 9:01! We are blessed beyond measure. I thought I would share a few pictures before our customers joined us. It is sparkly and warm. We had a light dusting of snow which set the mood for the day.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone again!

We are happy and tired. Many of the times are gone and then we will begin getting ready for Christmas with my family.

Vyntage Barn is ready to open tomorrow

Well, the shop is ready and glittering. We are anticipating a large crowd. I have had such a fun time getting it all ready. We are suppose to have a little snow and that will set the tone for the whole sale. What fun we will have the next few days. I have many more pictures to share. We are so blessed.

A Few More Pieces of Furniture

Well Friends, Here we are, just days away from our second sale. I have been working on the lighting and I caught a few pictures. This is the china cabinet that is painted a soft white with glitter. It is decked out in gold this time around!

My brother is making cabinets and this one is waiting on custom color!

And a small desk that is waiting on a new home!
I will be taking pictures of the entire shop tomorrow with all the lights ready to go!

Christmas Centerpiece

Finally I can start to enjoy Christmas. I have been getting the shop ready for our new show and now getting the house ready for Christmas. I will share pictures of the entire shop this week but I thought I would share this Santa centerpiece I put together. I think it is so adorable. I am hoping and praying for many customers and nice weather for this weekend.
  This morning our church started the first act of The Modern Day Scrooge. They did a very nice job. But it makes me so sad because my Dad did not like Christmas just like Scrooge so while many watch and think it is just a drama to me it is my past.
  My dad did not want to spend the money or be with family and it was his least favorite time of year. My Mom was the reason I love Christmas. She overcame and created a winter wonderland in her home...and that is just what I do too.I love the sights and sounds and music of Christmas. Thank you Mom for passing that onto your children!
