Trying to find a new path

Well, here I am. I miss my Mother. She is gone and my world is forever changed. It is now time for me to step up and be the same kind of mom that she was to me! I will find the strength to move very slowly through the pain and begin to find my path.
At some point we will find a new normal but for now we are trying to carve a new path without the one who held us together.  I will honor her memory by honoring her wishes. And for today I will just try to find the energy, the strength and the will to more forward. I am holding on to the hand of God...and for today that is enough.

One day at a time. I still miss my mom (12/21/1993) and most of all I miss all the things I never got to share with her - holidays, weddings, births. It doesn't get better, but it gets easier.

I am glad to see you posting~ you have been in my thoughts~ you are headed in the right direction~
Missing is the hardest thing~ the emptiness of their being~ I keep Mom alive with talking about her, with my sister, the children & grandchildren, we do what we can~ the way they taught us~even if it doesn't feel like it somedays~ you are are very strong woman, she has taught you that~

I'm praying for you.A day at a time is all we can do.
Some days it's an hour at a time for me.
My mama passed away almost 7 months ago.It is still to hard for me to talk about her.
I had a good cry today.I believe tears are healing.
God will carry you through this.He knows the pain you are feeling and how much you miss your mother.
I will continue to pray for you.I care.Take good care of yourself .Blessings,Becky

Hi Dianntha...time does heal...although I miss my Mom terribly (she died suddenly in 2005)...I have learned to focus on cherishing the fond memories and that helps to ease the pain you feel deep inside...hang in there!
