Holiday decorations

We have been trying to get our baking complete...two more batches to go and then we have fudge, smores and no bake cookies and we are done! There have been a few days that I have been under the weather or we would have been done. Actually we were to finish today but I just didn't have the energy for it today.
I don't think I have posted a pic of this corner where I placed a tree in the crock...if I have sorry for posting it again. It is one of my favorite areas.
I also wanted to show you a glimpse of my banister. For some reason I went with purple and gold...I like it but not my usual colors...I really wanted to put my silver tree up in the foyer but it just didn't work out this year...maybe next year.

Hey Dianntha: Your banister looks lovely...like something from a magazine. In my home, it's my focal point. Now, if I could only start the decorating... If you are completing your baking with everything els done, I'd say you are far ahead of most of us. You go girl! Putting a little tree in a crock is a great idea!

Love the banister! Your baking sounds delicious! Care to have a visitor for a cuppa? lol

Di. I think this will interest you. I just left off visiting Carla's blog (Merrywood Cottage) and in her post about St. Lucia day...she has the same wall art as you. With the three children sitting and reading a book together....great MOMS think AND decorate alike I suppose. Go check it out!

I love the Christmas tree in the crock and your sweet old fashioned doll is in a perfect place.
I've always longed for a banister and yours is gorgeous. All your goodies sound delish, I'm making fudge too and baking tomorrow. Enjoy the day. Linda
