I am so sorry about the loss of your dear sweet doggie. I just lost my puppy who was 13 in February so I know how painful it is--to lose your companion. It helps to remember that Jackie felt the same way about you - she loved you and she knew that you loved her. Her life was so wonderful because she was a part of a loving family. Hugs~
I am so very sorry to hear about the passin' of Jackie. Our furbabies are a part of our families. The loss is devastatin'.Has she ever read "Rainbow Bridge?" If not, she really should. Its wonderful. :> )~Peanut

I'm so sorry, that is always a hard thing to face no matter what your age is.
My heart breaks at the loss of your loved one--- never easy... Just remember, 'It's not what you lost... it's what you had...'. Time does heal the hurt and you'll remember the good stuff....
thank you for your kind post on my blog regarding our loss of our sweet baby Niles. It has been a little over a month now and I am still having a hard time with adjusting. I do have 3 other fur kids that I love, so I am lucky in that. Add to it that the now eldest pup was so sick from Thursday on and I feared I would lose him too; yesterday, my birthday, he finally began to act like his old self. What a relief. But still the pain in your heart is real and I know how much you hurt. They are a large part of our lives and they give us their all; right to the end. I think one of the most cruel things about life is that they leave us much sooner than we are ready for; I wish they lived as long as we do. I know that I heard some ladies talking yesterday about the rescue dogs they had loved, and how those dogs were so loving and giving; how they responded to love and even though many of them lived only a few years in their care, the one lady pointed out that those few years were the best those dogs ever experienced as they finally had love. This made my heart soften a bit as I realized perhaps this is why they don't stay as long as we want; they come and teach us love and patience and compassion, and then they go on to heaven to leave an opening for the next angel we need to help on their way. I believe that they are truly angels in fur coats that come to us and help us in our journey here. Now I am just crying my eyes out typing this; just so you know that it isn't easy for a long time despite what folks may tell you. I feel your pain as I am typing this. But there will come a day when an angel will come to you to help you through and you will still be at a loss, but you will be able to love again and you will be loved. I think they do this for us; they send us someone to help us heal ; but we have to open our minds and hearts to the love. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. As is your daughter; it is one of the hardships of life and I wish I had the power to change it; take the time you need to grieve; it is different for each of us. We will always carry a piece of them in our heart. They leave paw prints on our heart and in our souls! please let me know if I can do anything at all to help you; I have been blessed to be here in blogland; I had so much support all through this time.
