Our Frog Pond

This is the newest addition to my flower garden...isn't she a beauty?

I was trying to get a picture of the waterfall...it is kinda hard to see it...wish I could share the noise of the water....it's awesome.

A little different view...we have a very large bull frog and smaller frogs but all our fish were eaten by the racoons and we haven't replaced them . We probably will wait till next year...but the plants are doing well! Hope it cools down soon...it is so hot here.

Nickel Exchange

I hope you can see the beautiful colors of fabric I received in a nickel exchange a few weeks ago. There is such a wide variety of designs and colors. As of right now I have no idea what I will be making...maybe some Christmas projects? But that will only happen if I get my sewing machine out of the garage! Thanks, Michele, for making this excnage happen!

Our out-door room

This is what the garden area looked like before we started to make the out-door room.

My nephew dug out the sod and made the wonderful stone walk-way. You can't tell from the picture but I have lights and white netting in the tree, it makes it cozy and romantic in the evenings! My new plants are doing well considering we have had little rain and way too many days over 90 degrees. I did try to get a picture at night but you really could not tell what the picture was...just little specks of light. I will try to get a better picture on a sunny day....maybe when I decorate this area for fall...which is coming quickly!

Our Garden

This is a picture of my dh garden...he is so proud of our fresh produce and this is what he does to relax!

I know it is a little hard to see but our gourds are climbing up our evergreen tree...it is so awesome!...Maybe I need to take a new picture.

This year we decided to have a large pumpkin patch...I love to decorate with pumpkins. We have two varieties of white...and we have about 4 varieties of orange...some of them are quite large already! To the right you can see we do have a second row of pumpkins growing. We also have different gourds growing on the ends of each row!

What Zaps your energy?

Today, I can feel that my energy has been zapped. My middle daughter has been "ribbing" my youngest about the rides she rode at the theme park. Now, I have listened to it since Sunday....but today I had had enough. I was so upset with her for treating her sister in such an unkind way......now I am exhausted...I think you call that stress. I call it disappointment.

Our Upstairs Bathroom...

These are pictures of our upstairs bathroom that I decided to paint a chocolate brown....
One of the walls has a lg. shelf that has many of my angels sitting around.
This is a picture of my shower curtain...it once was a quilt on my bed but I decided to use it in the bathroom for now......I love the colors in this quilt.
I had a sweet lady say that she would now be able to see the pics I post so I wanted her to get a glimpse of ones I had posted before on a different site! Hope you had a wonderful day!

Losing a sewing room...gaining a bedroom!

These are the pictures of my daughters "new" bedroom! The back area of the room we painted a very wild green...it is actually really cute! The black and white circles give a little privacy...we have a dresser that goes on the wall to the left...just haven't got it carried in yet.
You can see the door that you enter into the room and be painted 5 inch black stripes every 16 inches....the window has black blinds.

The door to the right is the bathroom and that wall has random cirlcles of black paint...just for fun. We are so happy that she is going to be at home at least for the first semester of college this year...she will be driving each day and then we will decide whether she wants to move to campus after Christmas...but for now we are enjoying having her at home!

New Beginnings!

This is a new beginning for me...a new adventure and it feels so new and challenging...fun and scary....but for now I am going to give it a try.
There as so many wonderful blogs out there....people who are willing to share their time and interests with others and so I begin with a little fear and a lot of excitment. Wish me luck!
