Oh my word, I think he is so cute and there was no sewing to this project. If you think you can't do this...just ask yourself, "Can I use scissors and a glue gun?" If you can then this project is for you.
My Mother and I made this guy in 2009 and he looks just the same today as he did when we made him. I lay him flat to store him...he does not come apart.
This is where I go the pattern. I adored the material they used and I hunted to find something similar. He is made by cutting out backer- board into the pattern shapes and then cutting the material from the pattern and then let the hot gluing begin. I am so sorry to say that for some reason Mom and I did not take pictures of the process.
The most difficult part of the project was making his arms move but honestly that was no big deal either just a couple brads and that was it!
He now hangs on my inside porch door. The picture above is actually facing into our foyer!
The good thing about 31 days of whimsy is that my posts can random...so there you have it!
I have enjoyed visiting all of you and will be around again today to see what you are up to! Blessings.

Oh my!!! He is so cute. I just love him. And no sew?? That is my kind of pattern. Wonder could you still purchase that book? Such a sweet memory of time spent with your Mom. You are in my thoughts and prayers daily.
Hugs,
Angela
Morning Dianntha,
Your Pumpkin man is adorable...this would be a great project for younger kids to do...as long as mom helped with the glue gun...but it sure looks easy enough.
How fun that you and your mother made it together - another wonderful memory to hold dear to your heart.
Blessings on this Sunday
Karen
