Well Bloggers, We are now on day 9 of the 31 days and it is going so fast! I have been saving this post for a few days but I hope you give it a try. I had been thinking about making one of these chenille pumpkins for a while and I guess the other day while I was at walmart I decided to look for the supplies. It really is pretty cool but I am not sure if you can tell that by the pictures!
This is not where i am going to place it but I thought you could see it better in the pictures.
The supplies are a $5 pumpkin from Walmart, Tacky glue $.99 and Bernat Baby Blanket $2.50/ You could use yarn that you have on had also...wouldn't lime green be sweet?
Well, this picture didn't help at all.
There we go. I just put glue on the pumpkin in small sections and then I would twirl it into a circle. Once it was the size I wanted I pushed in together to squish it a little bit.
This is what it looks like up close and personal...it is so soft. The next time I may coffee stain the yarn first and then make the pumpkin but I am not going to do that on this one. It took about half of the yarn for this project. If you try it send me a message so I can see how yours turned out...

What a cool idea. At first I thought you cut apart chennille bedspreads and stuffed. I like it! Thanks for sharing.
That is definitely one cool pumpkin!!
So very clever! I must agree with Robin...at first I thought you had used a slice of bedspread. Thank you for sharing the tutorial!
Happy day to you...

Love the pumpkin. Would look great in my guest room for fall. Will have to try one. So soft and I love white pumpkins. Thanks for sharing.
