I have been working on making salsa, tomato juice, diced tomatoes, and pizza sauce with the tomatoes from our garden. They seem to be turning slowly even though it has been unseasonable hot. We have been picking every other day and I then I can each morning before we begin schooling and lessons. I found the little labels last year after Jody at Gumbo lily told about them. They are so cute and colorful...I know they are a little hard to see in the picture but they do add a lot to the jar if you are giving some of your canning away as gifts. I found them at the local drug store with the other canning supplies.
Well, I best be off, the girls have a Bible study to go to and I must pick up some freezer bags so I can finish this job.
I have been thinking about changing a piece of furniture in my living room and my sister is have a fit...so I thought I would take a picture of the before and after and then you can decide what you think....that will be later on ...maybe in two weeks...it is fair week this coming week and we will be enjoying the sights and sounds of the county! Enjoy!

You are so good! We have tomatoes coming out of our ears but I know nothing about canning so we are just eating as much as we can.
Thanks for your kind comment on my blog. Jen
Yum! That sounds so delicious. A lot of hard work. How is School coming alone? I miss home schooling sometimes. I like the fresh corn in the bowl image. I remember doing that too. I had such a little kitchen at the time. I now have a glass stove top. It is not a very good tool for canning. I have a camp stove so maybe I can do some this fall out on the porch. I loved the canning season.
You asked me of my home it is stucco and tile roof. Not truly south western I am eclectic of decor. I once had a home (our first for 4 yrs) in rustic country, then our second(16 yrs) in Edwardian Victorian. Now it is very eclectic.
