Christmas Mantel ..the stockings aren't hung yet!

 This is the Christmas mantel this year but I have to find the stockings!! I decided to go with a primitive look in this room and that made it pretty easy. I have been working on other areas of my home and tomorrow I am going to finish the front porch!

 I incorporated a small pot filler with my decorations...because I thought it was an important message!

 I will try to take a different picture of this star. It has a cute reindeer head inside...you will love it. When I get the stockings up I will take a new picture of this too.

This is another little deer that I just love...a few more primitive items and then the lit candles! I know I am not that exciting this year but I am struggling with the loss of my mother and the going to be the first Christmas without her. I can not begin to tell you the cry of my heart. But Christmas is still coming and I have family and friends that count on me so I continue on in the spirit of Christmas.
