Yesterday we had to have Hospice come in for Mother. Yesterday was not a good day.

Oooh, Dianntha. I'm so sorry this had to be done. It's so hard to admit it's time for Hospice but I hope they will help your mom and be a comfort to your family.
The Hospice folks helped me so much.

Thanks for taking a moment to post.

Extra hugs and prayers to you.

Love, Angie in WA

I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I know exactly how you are feeling. Almost a month ago, I had to make that decision for my mother. For days all I could do was cry. My heart is still broken, but if there is any comfort I can give you at this time, they have been wonderful for Mohter. They are so kind to her and have been wonderful to our family. My prayers are going up for your Mom and you and your family. I am not just typing those words and forgetting, seriously You will be remembered in my prayers. Sending big hugs your way.

Sweetie,
This can be a positive thing. It will help your Mother be more comfortable and ease your mind, as well. Hospice can be a positive thing. They are kind and concerned and knowledgeable.
I know this can be so difficult. Please know I am praying for your family.

So sorry to hear about Hospice Dianntha. They are so skilled in seeing to all those things that need tending. That in turn will comfort you and your family knowing your dear mom is in caring hands. Will pray for you and your family.

:((( I won't say anything that hasn't been said here. I am sure that your mum is in good hands, and I also know that you need to accept help because you're only human and you can't do everything 24/7. You need your rest. You also need to live for your daughters and husband. And for yourself.
Hopefully, at the Hospice, they will also have medicines that will help your mother deal with her disease, that you cannot use at home.
I can tell, from my own experience, that I have met the most wonderful people there, so caring, both discreet and efficient. Very respectful.
Sending prayers for you and your family, and a huge comforting hug to you, Dear Dianntha.

So sorry Dianntha to read this. It is a mixed blessing for hospice to be there. They will allow you to devote your family's time to being with your mom and take some of the care taking efforts off you. You, your mom and family are in my prayers.

Praying for you, sweet friend. This must be very difficult for everyone involved.
I will lift up your mom in prayer too. Sometimes these decisions need to be made...but, it is never easy.
