A new start, a WIP and a few cardinals too
And yes, you can see that there is a bloom coming very soon. Can you believe how fast it has grown from the last post. I don't remember what color it is suppose to be so I will be just as surprised as you are when it does bloom.
This is my new start by Notforgotten Farm. I love this Tom Turkey. I adore the season of Thanksgiving and I guess he just reminds me of our history and how were first began as a nation. Anyways, he seems to be an easy stitch, if you get a chance check out some of her other designs, they are pretty cute.
This is all I have done on Christmas at Hawk Run Hollow and I discovered I am missing a color...I thought I had purchased everything I needed but of course not. I have not spent much time on it but I am hoping to work on it today. I am ready to start working on it to get the first block completed.
My cardinals are done!!! I love the way they turned out. This is not where I am going to put them but I didn't have my step stool. It is at one of the apartments so I can't reach up to hang it but when I do I will post another picture. I love the designs in the pattern book from Karla Menaugh and Barbara Brackman called Juniper and Mistletoe. If you get a chance check them out. I will be working on more of their designs very soon.
The weather has been above freezing the last few days so much of the snow is melted and very dirty looking. I hope it all melts for now. It is cloudy and dismal outside but warm and toasty inside so I am off the grill some burgers for lunch and then I am going to relax for a bit with a needle and floss in my hand. Enjoy your Sunday!! Be blessed.

Great job on the cardinals. The Tom Turkey will be beautiful when you are done too. I'm not stitching like you are, but I am stitching my quilt today and I'm on a break. LOL.
Lets hope most of this snow melts soon.

Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment!
Can't wait to see your finished Tom Turkey. LOVE the cardinals...one of my favorite birds! The melting snow looks quite dirty in my area also. I'm almost wishing for a light covering of more snow to hide the dirt.
I can't wait to see the color of your flower :o)
Your cardinals are adorable! Congrats on the finish.
Isn't that always the way though...just when you think you have everything you need. Argh!
Love the Tom Turkey design!!!
I am fond of cardinals, so your finished piece is very welcome in my house, just in case you don't know what to do with it... Lol!
Hugs,
Lili
