A finish and a sneak peek...

I thought I would keep you updated on my amaryllis...it has grown so much and you can start taking shape...it has been fun.
It has been very cold here with the highs in the teens most days. Today it felt like a heat wave when I got to be twenty degrees.
I must admit that I have not spent any time on closets so far this week. I have been working on the projects that you will see and I have been doing a little decorating too. Since we have our middle child graduating this year I will have to make a to do list and stick to it soon!!!

Yes, I did finish this project. I have not decided if I should tea stain it or not. I have never tea stained a cross stitch design and after working on it I sure don't want to do something stupid but then again it might be a chance for something new. What do you think?

This is one of the new projects I am working on. I wish I had taken pictures of the steps but it is too late for that. I am just about done with it and hope to have pictures of it yet his week. When I started this pattern I had in mind where I was doing to put it...but today as I was redecorating a shelf well...there might be a better place for it...Maybe I will show you both spots and let you decide.

Hope you enjoyed this little sneak peek...I do enjoy reading your comments!!! Until next time..be blessed.

The cross stitch turned out great! I'm really into primming things up so I vote for tea stain or coffee stain. ~Ann

Wow, the amaryllis is growing nicely. I know what you mean about taking a chance with your lovely cross stiched project. I can certainly understand your hesitation. Good luck, Dianntha!

Hi Deanntha!
I am behind in my blog reading, but that makes it even more fun to read all the posts I have missed at once.
I have loved your rant abour re-gifting, and been very touched by your article about Joy. Such love in this text, and such wisdom too. I have the same sad feelings as you when removing the Xmas decorations, together with that feeling of emptiness in the house (and inside myself too). I am blessed to have found your blog.
Have you noticed that we have picked the same sort of background again? I mean, girly and all... Lol!
Your snowman is very beautiful. I have already tea stained and been very disappointed. You must be sure you really want a primitive aspect. If the threads are DMC though, you can still wash some of the stain if that was too much (which you will know once the fabric is dry). Well actually, if you have used overdyed threads, just don't tea stain. But I'm sure you know that...
Looks like the amaryllis is enjoying your home.:D
No snow left here today. Looks weird, will you believe it?...
HUgs sweet Deanntha.

Love your stitched piece! I'm not sure if I would stain cross stitch or not! I just finished a Valentine Stitcher I am about to share on my blog, and it's coffee stained, that is ok, but I'm not sure about cross stitch! Thanks for sharing your work! Hugs, michelle

I love your stitching! I always tea dye everything, so that would be my vote! Coffee dries darker, so try tea alone if you're not sure. I grew up in Ohio, so I always enjoy reading Ohio blogs. Not that I'm missing the January weather right now though!

Love your projects. Perhaps if you have extra fabric you could tea stain a sample and see how you like it.

Your amaryllis is flourishing....I'm looking forward to when it blooms.

I LOVE your NRF finish. I've tea and coffee stained fabric before stitching and I've always liked the way it's turned out. I'm not sure if I would stain this sweet finish....I like the white snowman and I'm not sure how much color he would pick up. Have you been working on CAHRH?? hugs, Linda
