New Creations Today!

  Today while we are having a snow storm and I can not work out in my little store, I thought I would work on making a few purses instead. I decided to add some pink to the first one and honestly it is better in person. It will also be getting an transfer but for today it is finished.

This small one is my favorite. I adore roses and it is just large enough to take with me when I go to church or on date night.

Lace anyone??? I love it too. But sometimes this size is too small so I made a few that were larger!

I used the same lace for the big ones because I am in the middle of  a snow storm so why not?

Then a little burlap too.

This one is burlap, roses and it will have bling once it is completed!
  I am suppose to be working on pillows for my dd but who could resist making these cute little purses. Hope you are having a great day!

New Items to Share

 Hi Dear Friends,
  I wanted to share a few pictures of some of the items we will be having out our next sale. I love this divided tin. Today I put some of our antique silverware into the slots but soon I will put something pretty inside for a different look. It is so cute either way.

 This 4 drawer cutie is the only one I have. I love it and each of the handles are similar and different, now that is so fun.

 I also put my cards in this compote but they will be gone before the sale since I have other plans for it. It was so cold in my building today that I could only spend a short period of time out there. Someone is coming next week to install a heater so I will no long freeze. That will be so great!

 I wanted to write a cute message on the chalkboard but where is my chalk when I need it????

 And I just had to share this cute jacket I picked up at an auction. Now does this say 1950's or what? I love it and it will be perfect for our Mother's Day sale. I wanted to share a few things I have been working on but it is so cold I will share the rest another day. I have some new ideas to share soon too!
  I also will be sharing some furniture I am working on but that will be a few days yet. But for today, getting ready for another storm but I am happy it will not be as cold as it has been. They are saying  about 9 inches so not terrible just messy!

Snow Rollers

I know that I shared that we have been having such bitter cold weather but I also wanted to share snow rollers. We have not had snow rollers in Ohio for many years so this is something that is kinda exciting, well, considering we have been trapped inside for weeks. We had hundreds of them in our year.

My hubby and I have been searching for new items for our Vyntage Barn sale and this is our newest additon. I love deer and when I found this pair I knew they were coming home with me. They will be difficult to part with but  I know someone will love them as much as I do and I will enjoy them until Mother's day. We are heading to another auction later today but we are getting freezing day right now.

Making Progress

Just stopping by for a minute. I know some of you have asked what I am up to and I guess I have been so busy. It has snowed so much here and part of the time it is too cold to leave the house. I have been going to auctions picking for Vyntage Barn. I have so much to share but I can't make it out to my shed until the weather is above zero!
  I have been picking up furniture and littles and I am excited to share. I have been planning so many things for the business, I have much to do and finally I will get some  finished soon.
 I will be visiting you!

A Few New Starts!

Well, I could show you pictures of the snow and show you how low the temperature is and blahhhh..nope I want to move on to a new topic since I am sick of hearing about the weather. Let's face it, it's winter in Ohio, enough said.
  I have been wanting to work on the furniture I have waiting for me so today I broke open the primer and got started. This is where we started. The table is only getting the legs painted so that is why it is upside down right now.

I could not find my screw driver so I painted the primer around the handles but they are not staying on this piece. I am refinishing the top of the buffet and table so that will happen another day.

In the background you will see a little stand that I primed as well. It needs a little repair but it doesn't hurt to start the primer.

This was the table before the primer. I thought seriously about  refinishing it but wait till you see the next stand I purchased, it has wood inlay and it will be refinished into a real beauty.
  We were at an auction last weekend and I found some new treasures. A few new pieces of furniture for the sale, a few for my sister and maybe a few that will stay in our new country room at Vyntage Barn. It is almost like a treasure hunt but sometimes you run up against a buyer who bids up so high that you just have to let it go. But I am happy with the pieces I did pick up and I will share them later in the spring.
  For today, I am done painting and now I am resting until hubby gets home. Stay warm.

And since I am dreaming of spring I decided to buy a new set of water boots....in another 8 weeks I can wear them!

First Finish For the Spring Sale and More

Our first new piece for our spring opening is done. The painting has been done but I just had not had time to pick the handles out. The ones I chose give it a cottage feel. I am happy with it and I do believe it will sell quickly.

I have a new piece to work on. This piece has a a matching table and chairs so it will take a little more time to complete but I would love to keep this set for my dining room. I will share a picture of the table but right now it is upside down so I can work on the legs first!
   I have the craft room almost done as far as stage one...which is getting everything painted and moved intot he room. I believe I have almost everything moved in except for the material. It is a slow process! See you soon.
